History
LiteCore was founded under the name NCM Core in 2004 by Henning Høybye-Jensen, Poul Møller and Skamol A/S.
The starting point was Skamol’s calcium silicate plate, which has unparalleled fire-related properties while still being a lightweight material. By applying a surface to the calcium silicate plate, the finished panels have a very good stability. The surface can be laminate or steel at the customer’s request. Calcium silicate also has the advantage of preventing damaging water effects. Furthermore, no mould can grow in the material, which can be advantageous in a range of situations.
In 2010, Ernst Pindstrup Sørensen took over the company and changed its name to LiteCore. Since then, production has been in Aars in the central part of Denmark. All production takes place in Denmark and LiteCore is ISO 9001 certified in addition to the guidelines in the Marine Equipment Directive (MED-D).
In 2019 LiteCore was acquired by Scandi Supply, a well-known name in passive fire protection in Denmark. Scandi Supply is owned and managed by Bent Jensen, Tom Abildgaard and Karsten Holse, who are all part of the management of LiteCore
